Race Conversations – 3rd Tues
Future dates are Jan 21, Feb 18, Mar 17 and April 21.
We meet on the 3rd Tuesday of the month from 6:30 to 7:30 in the SAL room.
Race Conversations, a group of dedicated members of the community have been meeting on a monthly basis since the spring of last year. All members of the community are invited to join in the conversation of race. What is the meaning of race? What is the impact of racism on our community? Eventually and hopefully, the question will arise: what can we do about it?
Facilitated by Educator, Life LeGeros, the group is currently reading Ijeoma Oluo’s book, “So you want to talk about race?” The book is available through the library’s interlibrary loan and at Bridgeside Books at a 15% discount. Call 244-7036 for more info and to sign up.
