Autumnal Equinox Walking Meditation / Wed., Sept. 22

Autumnal Equinox Walking Meditation

Wednesday, September 22nd at 5:30 PM in the Library’s Garden *
Rain date: Friday, September 24th

River will teach us how to ground while we walk and Judi will have
her strolling harp to accompany our footsteps.

The Autumn Equinox is the equilibrium of day and night and thus represents
the light and darkness in our lives. The long summer nights (yang- outward)
have passed and we enter into a new season of yin, or inward reflection.

Walking Meditation is a simple practice for developing awareness.

It requires being aware as you walk and uses the natural movement of walking to cultivate mindfulness and wakeful presence. It requires no experience and can be done as a stand-alone practice, which we will do for 30 minutes as a guided meditation.
