Backyard Composting with John Malter / Sat April 27 / 10-11:30am

Backyard Composting with John Malter.

Saturday, April 27th from 10:00 – 11:30 AM in the Library’s SAL Room.

Composting reduces waste and turns food scraps and garden waste into nutrient rich soil which improves soil health by rebuilding soil structure.  This improved soil structure fosters a more balanced ecosystem.  It promotes plant growth, reduces greenhouse emissions particularly methane, and it can save money too.

By coming to the workshop, participants can get a special price on a Soil Saver Compost Bin for only $45.00.

Register with John at malterport@aol.com by April 25th.

Mad River Resource Management Alliance (MRRMA) Administrator John Malter loves all things compost.  You’ll learn about space requirements, use of compost, what goes in and what stays out and more.  Composting can be fun and you’ll learn a bit of science in the process.
