About the Library
The new Waterbury Public Library is now on two floors at the rear entrance of 28 North Main Street in Waterbury.
The FIRST FLOOR has all the children’s materials and the Program Room (‘Sal Room’), as well as the Help Desk (a.k.a. Circulation Desk), public computers, a Digital Cafe, and a public copier/printer. Copies and pages printed from the computers are 10 cents per page.
The SECOND FLOOR has the Adult and Young Adult (YA) collections, as well as two small meeting/study rooms, and two comfortable, bright reading areas. We highly recommend that you call to reserve one of the study rooms in advance if needed (see our Meeting Room Availability page for more information).
We have arranged our non-fiction collection on both floors into “Neighborhoods”, as opposed to the traditional Dewey Decimal System. Since this might take some getting used to, we have developed a Welcome Guide for more detailed information. Please be sure to read this through to help understand our new system, and other important information for our borrowers.
We have also created maps of each floor for your convenience:
As always, you can always give us a call with any questions.
See you at the Library!
